differences between cat 1 through cat 7 utp cable?
I'm having trouble with this question a little help would be appreciated . thanks
The Physical differences
The short answer is that the difference between each "cat" (category) type is the number of twists per inch of each pair of wires contained within the sheath. The more twists per inch the higher the "cat" rating. The reason has to do with complex electrical properties having to do with impedance, attenuation and resistance.
