Cant't connect to 5GHZ N network (WNDR3300) w/ Rangemax Next PCI adaptor (WN311T)?
I have a RangeMax Next Wireless PCI Adaptor "http://www.netgear.com/Products/Adapters/RangeMaxNextWirelessAdapters/WN311T.aspx"
and I am trying to connect it to a 5GHZ network from a RangeMax Dual Band Wireless-N Router "http://www.netgear.com/Products/RoutersandGateways/RangeMaxNEXTWirelessRoutersandGateways/WNDR3300.aspx"
and it won't identify the 5GHZ network but it will identify the 2.4GHZ network. And when I try to upgrade the firmware drivers to 6.0 from Netgear and whenever I try to install it it says it can't find the drivers.
it is because they need to be on the same frequency. it will identify the 2.4GHz network because it is a 2.4GHz card. If you want to connect to the 5GHz network you need to get an adapter that supports the 5GHz frequency
think of it like walkie talkies....to talk to some one you have to be on the same frequency as them
