LED Module
Have you ever wondered How Do Led Signs Work, but couldn't understand all of the technical jargon that most led sign companies use to describe them? Don't worry! It's really not as hard as you think. Basically, Led signs only have a few major components that run their system and once you understand them you should become enough of an expert to feel comfortable when making your own led purchase.
LEDs are really just teeny tiny light bulbs that can easily fit into an electrical circuit. They're specially constructed to outwardly send out a large number of photons.
And although they are housed in a plastic bulb that concentrates the light in a particular direction, unlike ordinary bulbs, LED lights do not have a filament that will get exceptionally hot or burn out. They are completely illuminated by the movement of electrons within a semiconductor material, and have the ability to last just as long as any standard transistor.
The LED display sign is an integrated display system, which combines microelectronic technology, photonic technology, computer technology, information processing technology. It's also the kind of screen which is used to display text, graphics, images, cartoons, videos and other information, controlled through certain control.
Here are the three basic components of an led sign:
1) LED MODULE
Modules are composed of LED, PCB, IC, resistors, capacitors, connectors, covers and other components by special techniques Modules have matrix of 8×8, 8×16, 16×16, 16×32 and so on, and the corresponding pixels are 64/128/256/512. Pixel pitch is the distance between two adjacent pixels from the center point, such as PH4.75, PH6, PH10, PH16, PH20, and so on.
2) LED CABINET
Modules, switching, power supplies, fans and other components assemble cabinet. Cabinets have spec. of 4:3, 16:9 and so on. They can be customized according to customers' requirement, and can also be manufactured by standard specification. The cabinet is produced for the simplicity of Maintenance and improving the reliability
3) LED DISPLAY
LED display are assembled by cabinets or modules, receiving cards (adapter), power supply, and the screen frame, communication cable and other components So, by now you should have a basic idea of how led signs work and any general specifics should have been covered above.
