Help with Ceiling fan wiring?
For some insane reason, my landlord has wired the ceiling fan in my living room into his side of the house (it's a duplex). Now, his electricity has been turned off and he refuses to do anything to get me light and air in the living room. Lovely.
So, here's my question: can I go up inside the fan's canopy and take those wires and splice them into an extension cord and just run that to an electrical outlet in my side of the house? Is this safe? If so, is there anything special I need to do or watch out for?

Hp Laserjet 2300 – Printer With Optional Duplex And Networking
With a range of various models in the HP LaserJet 2300 series, buyers have the option of choosing whether to include networking or duplexing hardware to come included with this speedy, compact monochrome laser printer. As HP has improved on this line of printers, dating all the way back to 1999, each consecutive model has come with more power, and faster print speeds, resulting in a time tested, trustworthy printing machine.
The HP LaserJet 2300 base model does not offer automatic duplexing, but HP offers the 2300d variation that not only comes with built in double sided printing hardware, but the option of adding a network card as well. Either a standard Ethernet card can be incorporated for wired networking, or a wireless card for cord free convenience and easy network setup.
Base paper handling on the HP LaserJet 2300 series includes a standard 250 sheet paper tray, a 100 sheet priority feed slot, and a single sheet, straight through bypass slot. While the 100 sheet priority tray can be used to print on special media types such as custom letterhead and envelopes, extremely heavy weight paper types, such as heavy card stock, must pass through the front feeding slot to prevent bending or warping.
Additional paper trays are available as well, in the form of standard legal sized 250 or 500 sheet trays, though the unit's maximum paper storage is not to exceed 850 sheets. Both front and rear output trays are included and can be selected based on convenience, though most non standard media will print best using the rear tray.
With a print speed of up to 25 pages per minute and a first page out time of only 10 seconds, the HP LaserJet 2300 is a competitor for speed, yet, even more impressive, is its ability to not only print quickly, but to do it at full, high resolution of 1200 x 1200 dots per inch. Other resolutions, such as 300 dots per inch and 600 dots per inch are also selectable, and utilize HP's ImageREt resolution enhancement technology to buffer edges and improve pixel placement.
Standard on board memory for the HP LaserJet 2300 is 64 MBs, but 3 industry standard 100 pin DIMM slots are left open internally for memory expansion up to a total of 304 MBs, including the built in memory. When printing standard text, the included memory should more than suffice, but for the user who takes advantage of the high quality print mode for imagery, extra memory upgrades are recommended to help prevent slowdown.
A maximum monthly duty cycle of 50,000 imprinted pages places the HP LaserJet 2300 high up on the scale of durability, and, on top of this, HP backs this product with their one year limited replacement policy, which includes a year of web and internet based technical service as well. With such a long, proven history behind it, the HP LaserJet 2300 promises innovation and durability that should serve the small office or home user well.
