Does anyone have the directions on how to hook up a scientific atlanta hd dvr cable box?

I tried switching my cable box's around, and accidently screwed all the cables and stuff up.does anyone have directions,or can tell me how to fix it,and what plugs go where.

and dnt tell me to get a technician, cause i cant
ok, i have an Explorer 8300 dv box. and i screw up with the ac adapter connection. where do i hook the ac adapter to? from the plug outlet to the ?

I'd like to help you out, but there are so many possibilities... I don't feel like typing that much.

If you'll edit your question and tell us what connection method you're trying to configure, I believe someone will assist you. Are you using composite, component, HDMI, coaxial cable, or what?

EDIT: I'm confused. There is no AC adapter involved- the box is supposed to be connected to AC. The power cord plugs in on the right-hand side, when looking at the back of the box.

I purchased a Pro-Link hot to all my voters to hide in a closet behind the TV. The product is very easy to configure. Maybe it lasted 5 minutes and work with my Sony receiver (new model), and Directv DVR / HD receiver. The eye of Hot Link Pro is behind the TV wall is not even showing up. Great booster, easy, fast, and perfect solution

Had bought a video lift cabinet for my TV and suffered through waiting for the TV to come up and poor performance from the remote from different area of the room. Installed the booster in about 10 minutes, now have the TV, DVD, stereo all hidden in the cabinet and the remotes work better than they did without the booster. I was hesitant to buy, but now highly recommend this product.
An excellent product that does exactly what it supposed to do

The product is by far the best and least expensive item I have found of its type. It is easy to install and has worked flawlessly. I called the customer service line to confirm a feature and was answered immediately by a pleasant person who took care of my inquiry in seconds. I recommend it without reservation.
This is a piece of garbage; works sporadically then stops working!

It is very quirky to use (see suggestions about having to put layers of masking tape, moving stuff around, etc.) to just get this piece of junk to work. 

You have to spend a lot of time to get this working well. It is not "plug and play". I only have my equipment in a cabinet and sit maybe 15 feet away from the unit. I have a Scientific Atlanta based HD box, plasma TV, Onkyo receiver, Sony Blu-ray. Pretty standard equipment. 

Then when you finally get it set-up, it works in a very frustrating manner. For example, my cable box would only work if I held my remote at a certain angle. And that angle had to be almost perfect otherwise, no signal. 

Now, about 3 months after set-up with quirky use, the unit has stopped working entirely. 

Save your money. The reviews on here are basically "early use". After extended use, the product is garbage.
