Is there a way to transfer files from one PC to another using an Ethernet patch cable?
I have a large file on one of my computers (3.88 GB - I don't have a flash drive large enough for this nor an external hard drive) and I wanted to transfer it to another of my computers.
Is there a way to connect my computers using an ethernet patch cable, not a crossover cable?

If you don't have a crossover cable, you'll need to connect them to a switch or router and assign them ip's within the same range, say 192.0.0.1 and 192.0.0.2, set the workgroup name the same on both pc's and they will see each other in their lan network, then just share a folder to move your files.
