IBM Netfinity Srvr has VRM error, how to solve?
The IBM Netfinity Server when booting up shuts down within 10 seconds and the LED illuminates the VRM (voltage regulator module). How do I solve this so my server can boot up again?
I have tried a different outlet w/o surge protector and unplugged all periphal devices.
This is likely to be caused by a defective processor or motherboard.
Note: It did happen to me once that a strange power issue like that was caused by a BIOS flag. Make sure to go in your BIOS configuration if you can and to check ALL options.
